December 27 2019 - Friday
Instructor Sam Girton arrives in Georgetown Grand Cayman
Pick up rental van and check in the hotel
December 28 2019 - Saturday
Students arrive at the airport in in Georgetown Grand Cayman throughout the day.
Sam picks them up, takes them to the hotel and get’s them settled in.
9:00am - Sam meets with Caroline [our fixer] at the hotel.
12:08pm - American Flight 1552 arrives - CJ, NR, LS
2:28pm - American Flight 378 arrives - MW, NS, TL, KM, ND, MS
Sam takes any students without and international cell phone plan to purchase a temporary-use phone.
5 - 7pm : Dinner / location scouting at Camana Bay.
8pm : Group meeting in the hotel conference center.
[ ] discuss emergency procedures and meeting places.
[ ] hand out health insurance cards.
[ ] set up meta data templates.
[ ] talk about posting to the blog, twitter and instagram.
[ ] plan tomorrow's activities.
December 29 2019 - Sunday
10:30am - breakfast area is closed
11:00am - Models arrive at the hotel for pre-shoot meeting
(team leads - please plan to attend)
12:15pm - Travel around the island in the van to look at possible locations for tomorrow's shoots and practice lighting setups.
4:00pm - Mac and Sam go out to secure a boat for the O'Brein shoot
6:00pm - Sam takes people to the grocery store
8:00pm - Meet Caroline Deegan [our fixer] in the hotel breakfast area or poolside.
December 30 2019 - Monday
5:40am - Meet in the lobby of the hotel to goto our first photoshoot.
6:00am - 9:30am - Photoshoot #1 part A [Island Honey]
8:00am - Sam and Mack leave to talk to a second boat owner about using his boat for an additional shoot.
10:00am - 1:00pm - Prop acquisition, regroup and breakfast / lunch at and around the hotel.
1:00pm - Mack takes 2 other photographers to shoot on a ski boat for O'brien.
1:45pm - Leave for Island Honey shoot part B.
2:00pm - 7:00pm - Photoshoot #1 part B [Island Honey]
5:00pm - 7:00pm - Rest, clean up, have dinner
December 31 2019 - Tuesday
8:00am - 10:00am - Breakfast
10:30am - 11:30am - Digital Asset Management Overview.
11:30am - 6:00pm - Post process photo files from shoot #1 -
[Island Honey] - make selects, tone, retouch, archive, post to social media and deliver to models and clients.
6:00pm - 8:00pm : Dinner
8:00pm - unknown - New Years Celebration. Fireworks on the beach.
January 1, 2020 - Wednesday
8:00am - 10:30am - Breakfast
11:30am - 6:00pm - Post process photo files from shoot #1 continues -
[Island Honey] - make selects, tone, retouch, archive, post to social media and deliver to models and clients.
3:00pm - 6:00pm - Team leads and Sam scout location for tomorrow's shoot All are welcome to attend.
7:00pm - 8:00pm - Dinner
9:00pm - 10:00pm - Planning meeting for tomorrow + help with post processing if needed.
January 2, 2020 - Thursday
10:30pm - Group meeting to plan the day
11:30am - Group goes to the grocery store
2:45pm - Sam takes Mack and Nikki to the photoshoot location
3:30pm - Sam takes the group to the photoshoot location
4:00pm - Sunset - Photoshoot #2 -O'brien lifestyle
January 3, 2020 - Friday
6:30am - Leave for photoshoot #3 - Kismet
7:00am - 9:30am - Photo shoot at Camana Bay
9:30am - 10:30am - Breakfast at the hotel
10:3am - 12:00noon - Post processing.
12:00 noon - 1:30pm - Meet with models for tomorrow's shoot #4. [Arbor]
1:30pm - 5:00pm - Post processing and prep for tomorrow and shoot #5
5:00pm - 7:00pm - Dinner on your own
8:00pm - 9:00pm - Group meeting to finalize details for tomorrow's shoot.
January 4, 2020 - Saturday
6:30am - Leave the hotel as a group
6:45am - Arrive at the location for shoot #3 [Arbor]
7:00am - 10:00am Photo shoot#3 [Arbor]
10:30am - 3:00pm - Post production, file management, post to the blog, upload to social media, prep for this next shoot. Sam and Grace location scout for the 4pm shoot.
4:00pm - 6:00pm - Photo shoot #3 continues [Arbor]
6:00pm - 8:00pm - Dinner
January 5, 2020 - Sunday
Morning - Breakfast, post processing work, team lead check in meetings with Sam.
11:30am - Meet in the lobby to leave for our excursion.
12:00noon - 5:00pm - Swimming with the sting rays, snorkeling, and starfish point tour.
January 6, 2020 - Monday
6:15am - Leave hotel for photoshoot #4. [Margaritaville Pool Floats]
6:45am - 11:00am - Photoshoot #4. [Margaritaville Pool Floats]
12:00noon - 5:00pm - Post processing or part B of photoshoot #4 if needed [Margaritaville Pool Floats]
January 7, 2020 - Tuesday
10:00am - 1:00pm Sam works one-on-one with students. Selects, toning, file management, blog posting, social media work (raining outside)
2:00pm - 6:00pm - Swimming with the stingrays, boating excursion.
7:00pm - 10pm - Farewell dinner at the Ritz-Carlton.
January 8, 2020 - Wednesday
Travel Day - Sam takes people to the airport and make sure everyone gets on their flights home.
8:00am - American Flight 1250 departs - NS, TG, KM
2:42pm - Delta Flight 698 departs
3:16pm - American Flight 378 departs - CJ, NR, MW, MS
Some people are staying on island longer - ND, LS
